A man has been taken to hospital after being injured on a building site in Fife.
Emergency services were called to Main Street, Cardenden, at around 8.50am on Wednesday after receiving reports of a person in difficulty.
Police Scotland confirmed that a 24-year-old man was taken to hospital for treatment and that enquiries into the circumstances surrounding the incident remain ongoing.
A spokesperson for the force said: “At around 8.50am on Wednesday, July 19, officers were called to support other emergency services at a building site near Main Street, Cardenden, Lochgelly after a man was injured.
“The 24-year-old man has been taken to hospital for treatment. Enquiries into the circumstances surrounding the incident are ongoing.”
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) mobilised three appliances as well as specialist resources to the scene.
A spokesperson said: “We were alerted at 8.51am on Wednesday, July 19, to reports of person in difficulty at a property in Main Street, Cardenden, Fife.
“Operations Control immediately mobilised three fire appliances and specialist resources to the scene.
“We currently remain in attendance”.
