A man has been taken to hospital following a three-vehicle crash which caused a car to burst into flames.
Emergency services were called to the scene near Preston Roundabout in Glenrothes after reports of a collision around 9.45am.
A 50-year-old man was taken to hospital for treatment following the incident.
Police have reported a 35-year-old man to the Procurator Fiscal for a driving offence.
The road was closed for an hour.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “At 9.45am on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, we received reports of a three-vehicle crash at Preston Roundabout, Glenrothes.
“Emergency services attended, and Scottish Fire and Rescue extinguished a car on fire.
“A 50-year-old man was taken to hospital for treatment.
“The road closed for an hour and was re-opened at 10.45am.
“A 35-year-old man will be reported to the Procurator Fiscal for a driving offence.”
