A street in Falkirk has been cordoned off after a man was struck by falling debris.

Emergency services were called to the High Street area around 10am on Thursday after a piece of masonry fell from a building.

A man was taken to Forth Valley Royal Hospital after being struck. His current condition is unknown.

An area of the High Street has been taped off as a precaution until the building is deemed safe.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 10am on Thursday, October 3, 2024, we were called to a report of a man being struck by a piece of fallen masonry in High Street, Falkirk.

“Emergency services attended and the man has been taken to Forth Valley Royal Hospital to be checked over.

“A cordon will be in place until the building has been made safe.”
