Man taken to hospital after being struck by car at roundabout

A 50-year-old is being treated for injuries after the collision on Caskieberran Drive in Glenrothes.

A man was taken to hospital after being struck by a car at a roundabout in Fife.

Emergency services were called to the roundabout near Caskieberran Drive, in Glenrothes, between 6.15pm and 7pm on Wednesday, September 18.

A 50-year-old pedestrian was taken to hospital for treatment. Police said no one else was injured in the incident.

The vehicle involved, a light blue small car, was last seen leaving in the direction of Pentland Park.

Officers confirmed the eastbound carriage was closed overnight following the crash, but reopened at around 6.50am on Monday.

Police Scotland are asking that anyone who witnessed the incident, or has dashcam or private CCTV footage that may help, is asked to contact them via 101 quoting incident 1231 of September 19, 2024.
