A man has been taken to hospital after being found injured at a house in Edinburgh.
Emergency services were called to the Drum Brae Drive area of the capital at around 9.45am on Tuesday.
A 44-year-old man was taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh.
Enquiries remain ongoing, however it is understood a bladed weapon was used in the incident.
STV NewsA Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 9.45am on Tuesday, January 13, we received a report of a man injured in the Drum Brae Drive area of Edinburgh.
“Emergency services attended and a 44-year-old man was taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh for treatment.
“Officers are in attendance and enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.”
An SAS spokesperson said: “We received a call at 9.40am to attend an incident on Drum Brae Drive in Edinburgh. We dispatched one ambulance and a rapid response vehicle to the scene. We transported one male patient to New Edinburgh Royal Infirmary.”
