A man is in hospital with a serious head injury after being assaulted at a bus stop in Edinburgh.
The attack happened in the early hours of Wednesday morning at the stop on the south side of Princes Street, near Waverley Mall.
The 24-year-old was involved in an altercation with another man between 1.40am and 1.55am and taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh to be treated for his injury.
Constable Justine Bremner said: “We believe that several people were near to the bus stop when the incident happened so we’re appealing to them to contact us.”
