Police are on the hunt for three men travelling in a Vauxhall Corsa after a man was hit on the head with a stone while painting his garden fence.
The victim suffered a “slight” head injury, but did not require medical treatment.
The incident happened within the Main Road of Maddiston, a village in the Falkirk area, at around 11.30am on Thursday, April 16.
Investigating officers said the man believed the stone – or similar item – was thrown at him from the old-style black Corsa, which was being driven “erratically”.
The car was last seen heading towards the Bowhouse Roundabout.
A force spokesman said officers want to trace the three male occupants of the car, adding: “The victim was a man who was painting his fence at the time.
“He was of the impression it was a stone which was thrown and hit him, which caused a very slight head injury, and did not require any medical treatment.
“Enquiries are under way.”
