A man has been left with serious injuries following a stabbing on a street in Dunfermline.
Emergency services were called to the Tuke Street area of the city at around 2.35pm on Sunday after a reported disturbance.
A 25-year-old man was taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh for treatment to serious injuries.
No arrests have been made in connection.
An investigation to establish the full circumstances is ongoing.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 2.35pm on Sunday, August 16, we received a report of a disturbance in the Tuke Street area of Dunfermline.
“Emergency services attended and a 25-year-old man was taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh with serious injuries.
“Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.
“Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101 quoting incident 1849 of Sunday, August 16, 2026. Alternatively, you can speak to Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
