A man has been rushed to hospital following a disturbance at a flat in Grangemouth.
The 31-year-old required emergency treatment following the incident at the property in the Kersiebank Avenue area shortly before 8pm on Friday evening.
Four police crews were joined by colleagues from the Scottish Ambulance Service following calls from neighbours.
A 21-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the incident and will appear at Falkirk Sheriff Court at a later date.
The injured party remains in Forth Valley Hospital.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Officers were called to a report of a disturbance in the Kersiebank Avenue area of Grangemouth, around 7.50pm on Friday, May 5.
“Emergency services attended and a 31-year-old man was taken to Forth Valley Royal Hospital for treatment.
“A 21-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the incident and is expected to appear at Falkirk Sheriff Court at a later date.
“A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
