iStockA man remains in hospital following a serious assault in Edinburgh.
Emergency services were called to the Stenhouse Drive area around 5.30pm following reports of two people having been attacked.
The 38-year-old woman and 35-year-old man were taken to hospital.
The man remains in hospital, and the woman has been released.
Officers believe the pair were known to each other.
Enquiries to establish the full circumstances surrounding the attack are ongoing.
Police Scotland is urging anyone with information to come forward.
A spokesperson for the force said: “Anyone with information is asked to call us on 101, quoting incident 2761 of February 27, 2025.”
