A sex attacker who a raped a pregnant woman and repeatedly abused a child victim has been warned he faces a lengthy jail sentence.
Steven Reilly, 44, assaulted the woman while she was pretending to be asleep at an address in Livingston, in West Lothian.
He moved the woman and pulled down her lower clothing before sexually assaulting and raping her on April 2 in 2021.
Reilly earlier subjected a girl to repeated episodes of abuse at a house in Livingston which began when the child was aged four.
He got the girl to sit on top of him while he was naked, molested her, performed sex acts on her and subjected her to rape after targeting the child between 2017 and 2019.
Reilly, from Livingston, had denied a series of charges during a trial at the High Court in Edinburgh but was convicted of two rape offences. He was acquitted of a further three non-sexual charges.
A judge told him after the verdicts: “You have been convicted by the jury of extremely serious sexual offending.”
Lord Arthurson said: “You will be receiving from this court a very substantial custodial disposal in due course.”
He noted that Reilly has a lengthy criminal record, although not for sexual offending.
The judge called for a background report to be prepared on Reilly, including a risk assessment, ahead of sentencing.
Reilly, also known as Reid, was remanded in custody and placed on the sex offenders’ register.
He is due to be sentenced at the High Court in Glasgow on July 31.
