An investigation has been launched after a man was allegedly racially abused outside an asylum seeker hotel in Falkirk.

The incident occurred during an anti-immigration protest at the Cladhan Hotel on Wednesday at around 7.40pm.

Organisers of the demonstration, Save Our Future, and Our Kids Futures, stated that a man and his wife were the subject of “unacceptable racial remarks”.

They also state that those who use racist language do bit represent the group.

Police Scotland has confirmed a probe into the racial abuse is ongoing.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 7.40pm on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, we received a report of a man racially abused on Kemper Avenue, Falkirk.

“Our enquiries are ongoing into this report.”
