A man was pushed into a canal in Edinburgh by a group of people riding bikes.
Police were called to the Union Canal, near Viewforth, after receiving a call about the incident at around 3.55pm on Friday.
Officers have said that the man was pushed into the canal by a “group of people on bicycles”.
His condition is unknown at this stage.
The force is continuing to conduct enquiries into the incident.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were made aware of a man having been pushed into the Union Canal by a group of people on bicycles near Viewforth in Edinburgh around 3.55pm on Friday, July 14.
“Enquiries are ongoing.”
