Man killed in crash as baby boy and child injured

A 63-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash on Saturday.

A man has been killed in a car crash in Fife that injured a young child and a baby.

Police said they received reports at about 9.55pm on Saturday of a one-vehicle crash on the A92 near the Cowdenbeath junction.

“Emergency services attended and a 63-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene,” police said in a statement.

“Two boys, a 12-year-old and a one year old baby, were taken to Victoria Hospital for treatment to minor injury and kept overnight for observation.

“The road was closed for a number of hours and reopened at about 1pm on Sunday. Inquiries into the incident are ongoing.”
