A man has died and a woman is in hospital after a house fire in Falkirk.
Emergency services were called to the scene on Anderson Drive at around 10.40pm on Sunday, March 5.
One man was pronounced dead at the scene by rescue crews.
A woman was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary for treatment. Her condition is currently unknown.
The circumstances of the blaze are currently unknown and a joint investigation by Police Scotland and SFRS is under way.
A spokesperson for the force said: “We received a report of a fire at a property on Anderson Drive, Falkirk, around 10.40pm on Sunday, March 5, 2023.
“Emergency services attended and a man was pronounced dead at the scene.
“A woman was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary for treatment.
“The fire was extinguished by the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service and a joint-investigation into the circumstances is ongoing.”
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service has been approached for comment.
