A man has been taken to hospital, and a suspect has been charged after a person was reportedly seen on a roof in Edinburgh.
Emergency services were alerted to concern for a man on top of a building at around 1.15am on Friday in the Lawnmarket area of the capital.
The man was taken to hospital and has since been released.
Officers have charged a 23-year-old man in connection with the incident. He is due to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Monday.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 1.15am on Friday, June 12, 2026, we received a report of concern for a man on the roof of a building in the Lawnmarket area of Edinburgh.
“Emergency services attended and the man was taken to hospital. He has since been released. There was no risk to the wider public.
“A 23-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the incident. He is due to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Monday, June 15, 2026.”
