A man has appeared in court charged with murder following a suspected “targeted” shooting in Armadale.
Emergency services were called to reports of an injured man at an address on Harestanes Road at around 11.50am on Saturday.
Billy Watson was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police have since confirmed that the 35-year-old sustained fatal injuries consistent with being shot by a firearm.
Frank McCarthy appeared at Livingston Sheriff Court on Friday, where he was charged with murder and attempting to defeat the ends of justice.
The 57-year-old from Bathgate made no plea and was remanded in custody. He is due to appear before the court again within eight days.
Detectives have arrested two other men, aged 29 and 44, in connection with the death and say investigations remain ongoing.
