Two busy streets in Edinburgh city centre have been closed after a man was hit by a bus.
George Street and Hanover Street have been cordoned off following the incident which happened around 1.50pm on Sunday.
The man’s condition is currently unknown.
Pictures from the scene show a number of police officers and ambulance crews responding to the crash.
Drivers are being asked to avoid the area.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “George Street and Hanover Street in Edinburgh are closed due to a crash involving a bus and a male pedestrian, which happened around 1.50pm on Sunday, December 8.
“Emergency services are in attendance and road users are advised to avoid the area.”
