Forensic teams and police have descended on a hotel in Glenrothes after a man was found dead.
Emergency crews were called to the Travelodge hotel in Bankhead at around 10.20am on Wednesday.
Locals reported seeing multiple police vehicles and two ambulances outside the hotel.
Police Scotland confirmed the death is being treated as “unexplained”, and enquiries are ongoing.
A spokesperson for the force said: “Around 10.20am on Wednesday, June 28, police received a report a man had died in Bankhead, Glenrothes.
“Officers attended and enquiries are ongoing. The death is being treated as unexplained.”
