A man has died in hospital three days after being hit by a car in Edinburgh.
Emergency services were called to Chesser Avenue around 12.20am on Saturday following reports of a crash involving a pedestrian and a blue MG HS.
A 49-year-old man was taken to hospital where he later passed away.
The 35-year-old female driver was uninjured.
Police are appealing for anyone who was in the area around the time of the incident to come forward.
Sergeant Fraser Mitchell said: “Our thoughts are with the man’s family at this difficult time, and enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances of the crash.
“I would ask anyone who was in the area around the time of the collision to contact us, especially those who may have dash cam footage that could assist with our enquiries.
“Anyone with any information is asked to contact 101 quoting reference 0074 of April 11, 2026.”
