A man has died in hospital eight days after an incident at an East Lothian home.
Emergency services were called to the property on Carlyle Gardens in Haddington at around 12.40pm on February 10.
A 54-year-old man was taken to hospital where he died on Wednesday. His family have been made aware of the death.
At the time of the initial incident a 41-year-old man was arrested in connection and released pending further enquiry.
Senior Investigating Officer Detective Inspector Ross Duthie, of the Major Investigation Team, said: “My thoughts are with the man’s family and friends at this difficult time.
“We have a dedicated team of officers carrying out extensive enquiries and a police presence remains in Haddington as part of this.
“Anyone with any information or concerns can speak to these officers. We would particularly appeal to anyone who saw a white Mercedes GLA 200 in the area around the time to come forward.”
