Fife Jammer LocationsA man has died, and another person has been taken to hospital after an incident in Fife.
Emergency services were called to Pilgrims Way Avenue in Cardenden after reports of two men having taken unwell at around 3.05pm on Thursday.
One of the men was pronounced dead at the scene. A second man was taken to Victoria Hospital and later discharged after a check-up.
Detectives are treating the death as unexplained. An investigation is ongoing.
A report is due to be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 3.05pm on Thursday, August 13, 2026, police were called to a report of two men having taken unwell in Pilgrims Way Avenue, Cardenden.
“Emergency services attended and one man was pronounced dead at the scene.
“The second man was taken to Victoria Hospital to be checked over and was later discharged.
“The death is being treated as unexplained and enquiries are ongoing.
“A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
