An 87-year-old man has died and four others were taken to hospital following a collision involving two cars in Fife.
Emergency services were called to the A92, north of Rathillet, at around 10.40am on Saturday after a crash involving a red Dacia Sandero and a blue Vauxhall Astra.
The driver of the Dacia, an 87-year-old, was taken to Ninewells Hospital, where he later died.
A woman, 88, who was a passenger in the vehicle was also taken to the hospital.
The 32-year-old male driver of the Vauxhall, and his two passengers, aged seven and 13, were also taken to Ninewells.
Sergeant Grant Hastie said: “Our inquiries are continuing to establish the circumstances surrounding this crash.
“We are keen to speak to any witnesses to the crash or anyone who may have dashcam from the area around the time.”
