A man has died after falling from a building on Kirkcaldy High Street.

Emergency services were called to the scene around 6am on Thursday, having received reports of a man having fallen from a height.

Police and ambulance attended, and the man was taken to hospital where he later died.

STV News understands a cordon was put up around an area of the street near the Betty Nicols bar.

A police spokesperson said: “Around 6am on Thursday, August 27, we received a report of a man having fallen from height at a premises on High Street, Kirkcaldy.

“Emergency services attended, and he was taken to hospital where he died a short time later.

“The death is being treated as unexplained but not believed to be suspicious, and a report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal in due course.”
