A man has died after he was found injured on a street in Edinburgh.
Emergency services were called to Oxgangs Bank at around 1.35am on Saturday after reports of an injured 55-year-old.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
His death is being treated as unexplained and enquiries are ongoing.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 1.35am on Saturday, 15 August, 2026, we were called to a report of a man found injured on Oxgangs Bank, Edinburgh.
“Police and ambulance attended and the 55-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.
“Enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances and the death is currently being treated as unexplained.”
