A man has appeared in court charged with murder following the death of an elderly woman in Edinburgh.
The body of 77-year-old Jadwiga Szczygielska was found in her home in Pirniefield Bank, Seafield, on Saturday at around 7.50am.
Roman Frackiewicz, 44, was charged with murder when he appeared at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Tuesday.
He did not enter a plea and was remanded in custody.
