A man has been charged in connection with an alleged stabbing in Edinburgh.
Emergency services were called to reports of an alleged serious assault on the London Road area of Abbeyhill at 6am on Monday.
A 48-year-old man was taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh.
Officers confirmed on Monday afternoon a 48-year-old was arrested and charged in connection with a serious assault.
He is due to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Tuesday.
A Police Scotland statement read: “A man has been arrested and charged in connection with a serious assault that happened in Edinburgh on Monday, April 14, 2025.
“At around 6am we received a report of a 48-year-old man seriously injured in the London Road area.
“Emergency services attended and the man was taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh for treatment.
“A 48-year-old man is due to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Tuesday, April 15, 2025.”
