A man has been charged following a theft in Edinburgh that was followed by an alleged assault on a 57-year-old.
Emergency services were called to Newkirkgate on Thursday to reports of an assault and to Ferry Road to reports of a theft.
A 41-year-old man was charged in connection with both incidents.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “A 41-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection with a disturbance and an assault on a 57-year-old man in Newkirkgate, Edinburgh and a theft on Ferry Road, Edinburgh on Thursday.
“He is due to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Friday, April 19.”
