A man has been charged following the death of a woman in Edinburgh.

Ndata Bobb died following reports of a disturbance at a property on Restalrig Avenue in the city at around 1am on August 28.

The 43-year-old was taken taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh for treatment, where she died a short time later.

Police said her next of kin are aware and are being supported by specialist officers.

A 55-year-old man was taken to St John’s Hospital for treatment and has since been arrested and charged in connection with Ms Bobb’s death.

He is due to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on September 1, 2025.

Detective Inspector Kevin Tait said: “Our thoughts remain with the family and friends of Ndata at this extremely difficult time.

“Our investigation remains ongoing, however we are not looking for anyone else in connection with Ndata’s death.

“This is a shocking incident and I would urge anyone with any concerns, or information, to contact police.”
