A man has been charged after potentially hazardous material was found within an East Lothian home.

Police raided the property in the Millhill area of Musselburgh at around 11.30am on Thursday, and the materials were found inside.

Officers have charged a 29-year-old man in connection with the discovery.

He has been released on an undertaking and is due to appear in court on a later date.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 11.30am on Thursday, March 26, 202, police searched under warrant an address in Millhill, Musselburgh, in connection with potentially hazardous material being within.

“A 29-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection. He has been released on an undertaking and is due to appear at court at a later date.”
