Man charged after motorcycles and cars worth £650,000 stolen

A 28-year-old man is due to appear in Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Thursday in connection with the thefts.

A man has been charged after dozens of motorcycles and cars worth £650,000 were stolen in Edinburgh.

Two warrants were executed in the Craigmillar area of the city on Wednesday by plain clothed officers from Police Scotland’s motorcycle crime initiative Operation Soteria and specialist officers.

A total of 48 motorcycles and four cars had been stolen.

As a result of the operation, a 28-year-old man was arrested and charged and is due to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Thursday, November 9.
