A man has been charged after a 13-year-old boy was bitten by a dog in Fife.
Police were called to South Street in St Andrews around 6.55pm on October 31 after receiving reports of a teenager being bitten by a dog.
Emergency services took the 13-year-old to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee.
His current condition is unknown.
On Wednesday, police confirmed a 20-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the incident.
It is understood the dog in question has been put down.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “Around 6.55pm on October 31, police received a report a teenager had been bitten by a dog on South Street, St Andrews.
“Emergency services attended, and a 13-year-old boy was taken to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee.
“A 20-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the incident.
“A report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.”
