A man broke into a Morrisons supermarket in the Borders in the early hours of Saturday morning and stole a variety of items.
At around 3.10am, the thief forced entry to the store on Hawick’s Mart Street and stole a barbeque, hedge trimmers, children’s clothes, and a quantity of razor blades.
The man is described as being in his 40s, of medium build and was wearing dark clothing including a face covering.
Investigators have urged the public to come forward if they were in the area of the Morrisons store around the time and have any dashcam video that could help them.
Detective sergeant Jamie Gilmore, of Galashiels CID, said: “We are appealing to members of the public who may have information in relation to the break-in at Morrisons supermarket in the early hours of this morning.
“I would also ask those who were in the area around the time of the incident and have any dashcam footage that may assist with our investigation to get in touch.”
“Anyone with information should contact police via 101, quoting incident number 0706 of July 3.”
