A man has been arrested and a woman is in hospital after a two-car crash in East Lothian.
Emergency services were called to the A1 near Torness at around 8.50pm on Friday.
A black Peugeot 207 and a Land Rover Discovery had collided. The driver of the Peugeot left on foot before police arrived.
The driver of the Land Rover, a 38-year-old woman, was taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh for treatment.
The Peugeot driver, a 39-year-old man, was traced near Cockburnspath and arrested.
Police Scotland said enquiries remain ongoing.
Constable Martin Wood, from Dalkeith Road Policing Unit, said: “We are appealing for anyone who witnessed this incident, or saw either of the vehicles prior to the crash, to please come forward.
“Anyone with information which could assist our enquiries is asked to contact police on 101, quoting incident 3482 of February 27.”
