A man has been charged after police were called to a fire outside a property in a town in West Lothian.
A Citroen car parked in a driveway had been set alight on Bruce Road, Bathgate, at around 4.10pm on Friday, September 30.
Eye-witnesses described a major police presence which resulted in a “seige”.
A large cordon was erected on the street while emergency services dealt with the situation.
Later, a 65-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection with the disturbance.
He is due to appear at Livingston Sheriff Court on Monday.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 4.10pm on Friday, September 30, 2022, officers were called to reports of a fire and a disturbance at a property on Bruce Road, Bathgate.
“Emergency services attended and a 65-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection.
“He is due to appear at Livingston Sheriff Court on Monday, October 3, 2022.”
