Man arrested after police swarm hotel in late-night 'disturbance'

It is understood there were sightings of someone with a weapon in the area.

Man arrested after police swarm Beveridge Park Hotel, Kirkcaldy in late-night ‘disturbance’ Fife Jammer Locations

A man has been arrested after a late-night disturbance at a Fife hotel on Monday.

Police were called to the Beveridge Park Hotel on Abbotshall Road, Kirkcaldy, at around 11.10pm on July 31.

It is understood there were sightings of someone with a weapon in the area.

Images from the scene showed a large police presence blocking off routes into the hotel, and armed officers were also present.

No injuries were reported as a result.

Fife Jammer Locations

A 58-year-old man was arrested in connection with the incident and police said their enquiries are ongoing.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 11.10pm on Monday, July 31, we received a report of a disturbance at a premises on Abbotshall Road, Kirkcaldy.

“A 58-year-old man was arrested in connection and enquiries are ongoing.”
