A man has been arrested after armed police were called to a disturbance in Rosyth.
Police were called to a report of a man with a weapon causing a disturbance in the Backmarch Road area around say around 2.25pm on Tuesday.
Specialist firearms officers attended, and the man was traced on Queensferry Road shortly afterwards.
The 40-year-old was arrested in connection and taken to hospital for treatment of an earlier injury.
Enquiries remain ongoing, police said.
A statement read: “The incident was contained, and members of the public are thanked for their patience while officers responded.”
