A man has appeared in court charged with two attempted murders allegedly linked to an ongoing criminal feud which has spread across Scotland’s two largest cities.
The 41-year-old was arrested on Friday in connection with two property fires on Hay Drive in Edinburgh, which police believe were started deliberately in connection with a gang war which ignited in March.
He appeared at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Tuesday charged with two counts of attempted murder.
He made no plea and was remanded in custody. His next appearance is due to take place in the next eight days.
Police Scotland has made 26 arrests in connection with the feud.
DCS David Ferry previously stated the operation is the biggest in the country in terms of resources and “the most significant in Scotland”.
