A 27-year-old man has appeared in court charged with attempted murder in Edinburgh.
Police were called to an incident in the capital at around 10pm on Sunday, January 23 after a man sustained a serious leg injury and was taken to hospital for treatment.
Michael Roberts appeared at Edinburgh Sheriff Court in connection with the incident, which happened on Pilton Avenue.
Roberts was also charged with housebreaking, possession of a weapon, and six road traffic offences.
He made no plea on Tuesday and the case was committed for further examination.
Roberts, from Edinburgh, was remanded in custody and will appear again within the next eight days.
