Man and woman charged in connection with two attempted robberies in Edinburgh

A man and a woman has been charged in connection with two attempted robberies in Edinburgh on Monday.

Emergency services were called to a premises on Colinton Mains Drive at around 9.30am, and to a second premises on Oxgangs Road North 20 minutes later.

There were no injuries during the attempted robberies.

An 18-year-old woman and a 24-year-old man have been charged in connection with the incidents. They’re due to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Tuesday.

Detective Inspector Alan Sharp said: “I want to thank members of the public who assisted with these incidents before officers arrived and the local community for their support during our enquiries.”
