A man is accused of attempting to rape a woman while on board a flight.
Nicola Cristiano is said to have carried out the sex attack on an easyJet plane on May 13 this year.
Prosecutors claim the incident occurred on a journey between the Italian city of Naples and Edinburgh Airport.
The charge includes accusations that Cristiano repeatedly got the woman to touch him, as well as an allegation that he grabbed and pulled her towards him.
The 45-year-old is further said to have kissed and groped her.
Cristiano allegedly exposed himself and repeatedly tried to get her to perform a sex act on him.
A virtual hearing took place at the High Court in Glasgow.
Cristiano – via his lawyer Tommy Allan – pleaded not guilty to the charge.
After a brief discussion with Mr Allan and prosecutor Kath Haper KC on legal matters, judge Lord Scott said a trial could be fixed.
The case was set for January 2026 in Edinburgh.
The trial could last around four days.
