A man has been charged seven months after a “loving father” was knocked down in a Tesco car park in Edinburgh.
Emergency services were called to the supermarket on Meadow Place Road at around 9am on February 18, following reports of a crash involving a pedestrian and a blue Volkswagen Polo.
An air ambulance was sent to the scene, alongside two ambulances, a paramedic response unit and a critical care unit.
Bill Hepburn was treated at the scene but died a short time later.
STV NewsThe 66-year-old’s family described him as a “loving husband and father”.
There were no other reported injuries.
A 79-year-old man has now been arrested and charged in connection with the fatal crash.
He will be reported to the Procurator Fiscal in due course.
