A man has died after he was struck by vehicle in Fife on Monday.
Emergency services were called to the Forth Place area of Burntisland following reports of concern for a person who has been knocked down at around 9.20pm.
A 61-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene. His family has been informed of the death.
An investigation is ongoing to establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.
Inspector James Henry of Fife Road Policing said: “Around 9.20pm on Monday, January 27, we received a report of a concern for a person struck by a vehicle in the Forth Place area of Burntisland.
“Emergency services attended, and a 61-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene. His family have been informed.
“Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.”
