iStockA man has been charged in connection with several pickpocket-style thefts in Edinburgh.
The 34-year-old was arrested and charged with five offences following the incidents in the city centre on Saturday and Sunday.
Officers searched the man’s home as part of the investigation.
Investigations into the thefts are ongoing, and anyone with information is urged to contact police.
The public has been urged to keep their belongings secure in busy public areas.
