A man has been taken to hospital after allegedly being stabbed near a retail park in Edinburgh.

Police were called to Newcraighall Road, near Fort Kinnaird, around 9.30am on Saturday following reports of an injured man.

The 22-year-old man was taken to hospital for treatment. His condition is currently unknown.

Investigations are ongoing, and police say they are following a “positive line of enquiry”.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 9.30am on Saturday, November 29, 2025, we received a report of an injured man on Newcraighall Road in Edinburgh.

“Emergency services attended and the 22-year-old was taken to hospital for treatment.

“Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances, and officers are following a positive line of enquiry.”
