Man, 21, charged in connection with 'stabbing' at popular beach

A man has been charged following a disturbance in the Portobello area in Edinburgh that left three teenagers in hospital.

Police were called to Bath Street and Mentone Avenue around 10.55pm on April 12 following the incident.

A 17-year-old and two 18-year-olds were taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh for treatment.

The 21-year-old man is due to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on April 15 in connection.

A report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.

Police say investigations into the incident are ongoing.
