Man charged after 23-year-old 'stabbed' near national museum

A 19-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with an alleged stabbing that took place near the National Museum of Scotland.

The serious assault happened on Chambers Street in Edinburgh at around 9pm on Saturday, August 19, Police Scotland said.

A 23-year-old man suffered serious injuries and was taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh for treatment.

The 19-year-old is expected to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Friday.
