A teenager is being sought after he performed a solo sex act in front of a woman on a train between Newcastle and Edinburgh.
On March 10, a woman was travelling on the 2.28pm service from London King’s Cross to Edinburgh Waverley station, when a man came and sat opposite her near Newcastle.
Between 5.50pm and 7.30pm, the woman saw the man carrying out the sex act, before he disembarked from the train at Edinburgh.
He has been described as between 17 and 18 years old, 6ft tall, with a proportionate build and sandy-coloured hair which was shaved on the sides and long on top.
He was wearing a multi-coloured patterned, 90’s-style bomber jacket with black across the shoulders, a bright purple T-shirt and loose-fitting blue jeans.
Officers are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed what happened or has any information to come forward and assist the investigation.
