Officers were alerted to the crash involving a car and pedestrian that happened on Wednesday.

The main route into Edinburgh Airport has been closed after a pedestrian was hit by a car.

Emergency services were called to the crash around 1.50pm on Wednesday.

Police have closed Eastfield Road with drivers urged to access the airport via Ingliston Road and Fairview Road.

Police Scotland has been contacted for comment.
