Emergency responders have rushed to the scene of a three-vehicle crash on the M8.
Crews from the Scottish Ambulance Service, Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) and Police Scotland remain in attendance on the M8 westbound at junction 3A near Bathgate in West Lothian.
Traffic Scotland said the road had since reopened following the incident shortly after 4.45pm, however the affected vehicles had been moved to the hard shoulder while recovery work was under way.
It is not yet known if anyone was injured in the collision.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Police were called around 4.45pm on Wednesday, October 5 following the report of a three vehicle road crash on the M8 westbound at junction 3A near Bathgate.
“Emergency services are currently in attendance.”
